HP Ice Sandslash

Hey, everyone and I wanted to contribute something. It's extremely gimmicky, but works nonetheless

I remember I decided I wanted to try something which was HP ice sandslash. I found that it had problems with gliscor/d-nite/every other dragon with a x4 ice weakness. Rock Slide wouldn't cut it, neither stone edge. I ran a bunch of calcs, and knocked myself out.

So he's the utility, man. Needs sand to live, at all. Sand Rush is basically what you should be interested if you ever want to use this set. Sandslash can rapid spin, at fast speeds hitting the 400ish mark.

Here's some calcs, before you mock me.

Gliscor: Hidden Power Ice: 291-348 (82.2 - 98.3%) -- 68.75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock (Clean 2KO without rocks.)

Salamence: Hidden Power Ice: 312-369 (94.25 - 111.48%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock ( 62.5% chance to OHKO, without rocks.)

Landorus: Hidden Power Ice: 312-369 (97.8 - 115.67%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock (81.25% chance to OHKO without rocks)

I know garchomp and uber and all but: Hidden Power Ice: 265-317 (74.02 - 88.54%) -- guaranteed 2HKO, without rocks.

Tornadus T: Hidden Power Ice: 127-151 (42.47 - 50.5%) -- 38.28% chance to 2HKO after weather (2KO after rocks.)


The main point of the set is to catch the opponent off guard, by eliminating their opposing x4 ice weak mon which is common. It can also function to set up rocks and spin. Seismic Toss/Earth Power is just filler. I had fun working on the set, on my older teams. So there you have it, hate it, rate it etc.

Rock gem stone edge would just be better to do what you want but this set can be paired really well with Breloom eliminating its weakness'

That could work. But stone edge has a far higher chance of missing, and doesn't have the ability to get rid of gliscor/landorus. One time use, is bad too.
