[DW OU] Sandslash



This Guy is a threat. Although Underused at the moment, it's Dream world ability makes it a top tier threat similar to Excadrill but Sandslash can Also run Stone Edge which makes it do Hard damage to Skarmory And Gliscor.

Checks and Counters:

Ferrothorn Likes to switch in on it and Gliscor And Skarmory can/may Handle it for a few turns but they will most likely lose unless ice fang/whirlwind/Flight gem Acrobat.Jellicent can take a hit and Scald.Breloom may take a hit depending on the set

Team Support:

Tyranitar is a given for the sand. Sandslash also appreciaties using a Solid Gliscor/Skarmory counter. Options are lati@s, Rotom-w and Rotom-c,Mew,Jellicent etc.

Discuss? what pokemon stop it and what pokemon support it well.

Even with Stone Edge Sandslash can't scratch Skarmory and Gliscor. For Team Support Hippowdown can be along with T-Tar for more chances for Sand to stay in.

It can actually do 40% to skarm +2 and 50% to Gliscor slightly more than Excadrill and it can't be EQ'ed as well

This set is actually used in DW UU with Hippowdon support. I really like Excadrill's brother, it can me very useful in late game sweep. It is very frail and like hazzard support.

But in DWW UU it is expected in almost all teams. In DW OU where it is most unexpected and unprepared for it can hammer holes in teams

Excadrill has the weaker rock slide but with the flinch rate while Sandslash gets a stronger base power stone edge with the slightly higher crite rate, slightly less accuracy though but dangerous still. Personally I liked excadrills typing for things like rain stall as a spinner or whatever but Sandslash not being weak to EQ give it a different dynamic, No drag resist though

Well, there are SpAtk galore to take down the physical walls / weaken down enough for Sandslash to sweep. Definitely need to try it out. Latios can be a great team mate to weaken them, but Magnezone as well. Or you could pare it with another Stronf Atk like Band Terrakion or even Lucario. He has some trouble vs Bulky waters as well I think, so Breloom or your favorite Thundurus. The speed EV's what specificly are they for?

this thing is ALOT like excadrill although not being steel type kinda sucks. but also means it cant be EQed to death. pretty much the same set as exca. SD life orb= rape extremely usefull for late game sweep or just midgame hole punching and team breaking. glis and skarm still laugh at it. but who dont they laugh at?

Well, for physical attackers, Dragonite is not laughed by either since it deals pretty high damage with Outrage and Fire Punch.

Outrage gets you locked in which sucks if kland has his ferro
